Patient A contacted HomeLink Healthcare following an appointment with their GP for a painful shoulder. HomeLink Healthcare contacted the patient and discussed the options of how we could assist. A virtual visit was arranged using an IT platform conforming to GDPR and Information Governance requirements.
The patient was reviewed within 5 days of initial contact, a virtual physiotherapy session was undertaken, the patient was provided with a home exercise programme to support her rehabilitation along with lifestyle advice and support.
A full and comprehensive assessment enabled the physiotherapist the opportunity to set specific treatment goals in collaboration with the patient. Appropriate patient centred goals provided assurance to the patient and their family whilst supporting with a timely discharge from our service.
On discharge from the service, positive feedback was received regarding the responsiveness of the service, the usefulness of the virtual visit and how the patients shoulder is now improving.
